There is a man who appears before those who have lost a loved one, promising to revive them in exchange for signing a simple contract. However, this man's real goal is to use the victim to call back the soul and create an akuma -- a demon-like machine that's sole purpose is to kill humans. This man is known as the Millennium Earl. No one knows how he came to be, but he claims to be cleansing the world in preparation for the next great flood. Some say he is the embodiment of the Devil. Others say he is the embodiment of God. Many don't even recognize his existence. The Black Order, an army funded by the Vatican, is working towards the goal of destroying this man and informing the public of his evils. The question is... who will listen?
And who will fall victim to his offer?
