In 1125, the planet Earth was on the brink of destruction. The air and water was no longer safe to drink, and the ground had become barren, nothing more than a dry, cracked wasteland. It was decided that since Earth could no longer support humanity, they would be relocated to another planet. Within two months, all remaining humans had been cryogenically frozen. They were sent via spaceships through time and space to another galaxy, 13 billion lightyears away from the Gallio Galaxy, where Earth was located.
In 1126, the residents of Earth landed on a small planet in the Ajoha Galaxy called Strygia. They were released from their frozen sleep via computers onboard the spaceships. Few people had died from the journey, and humanity began to carve out a new life on Strygia. The planet turned out to be lush and rich. Air was clean and good, something very few of the people remembered. The water ran naturally and was safe to drink. The land was fertile, and offered up bountiful crops. It seemed to be a paradise. But paradise never lasts.
The people could not decide on how to organize a government, and anarchy reigned. Fights and murders were abundant, as well as various other criminal acts. The people rallied together and decided on a form of government. Democracy. Five people elected to lead, to form a town, and to ensure the safety of it's inhabitants. It was a tough job, and it took a while, but within two years, the town was stable and prosperous. Everybody seemed happy.
In 1129, one of the townspeople, a boy of thirteen, Max Trekker started an underground society of teenagers. They called themselves the Croutopions. Trekker used this group as a rallying point, speaking out to the teens about the dangers of the government, about how they were old and unfit to lead. During the next year, he spoke, brainwashing the Croutopions into the mindset that he was the only one fit to lead. During this time period, it was revealed that some people had developed a side effect from the cryogenetics. Most often it appeared in times of stress or great emotions. These select had powers that the ordinary masses did not. These powers varied greatly, as did the people who held them. Some could control them, others could not. They were dubbed Xenos, and while some people accepted them, most of the town did not. Max spoke out in Croutopion meetings about the Xenos, urging his followers to do something about them. He claimed they were a threat to everybody, unsafe. Within weeks, Xenos' started disappearing. Nobody was ever able to trace their disappearances back to Trekker and the Croutopions, but everyone had their suspicions.
1131. Now a man of 15, Max Trekker leads his Croutopions in a coup-de-etat against the Strygian goverment. It lasts two hours, killing 31 and maiming 12. In the aftermath, Trekker declares himself as the ruler of Strygia and sets his followers up in vital positions in the town. He makes many changes in his first two years, including the building of four great walls to emcompass the town. The townspeople are ordered to stay inside the walls at all times, under dire consequences. He forms the Strygian Tactical Unit (STU) from a band of his Croutopions, which serves as the town's main police force, delivering Trekker's wrath to any that dare speak against him. A Strygian Counsel is formed of the Croutopions and upper class to help maintain order and to decide important town issues, though it's really a way for Trekker to maintain a sembelence of a peaceful ruler. Another military group, the Xenos Retreival Squad (XRS) is formed in secret by Trekker to round up any Xenos and bring them to him. Tales of the torture and death these Xenos recieve send the Xenos into hiding.
A social heirachy is formed and maintained, with Trekker and his Croutopions at the top. Influential families are next, treated kindly by Trekker because of their money and influence with the rest of the townspeople. Middle class people are business owners, with working class people at the lowest point. Xenos are considered garbage, junk.
1135. Gordon LeBaue, owner of the long-standing LaBaue Space Center, dies. His only child, a daughter named Remy LaBaue, inherits the Space Center and his seat on the Strygian Counsel. Remy, a Xenos in hiding with the power of water manipulation, quickly turns the Space Center into a safehaven for Xenos. She and a group of fellow Xenos operate in secret, always masked, trolling the streets for Xenos and helping them. She builds secret rooms in her house to keep Xenos in while they wait to be hidden in the confines of the Center. Some choose to stay, helping safegaurd the other Xenos along with Remy.
The future of Strygia is being written now. Winds of change and hope are blowing. Where will your loyalties lay?
