People outlawed Beyblading a year after the whole BBA/BEGA incident, having seen how much impact this game could have on people’s lives and how hurt they could get. It was concluded that the game was too dangerous and it was banned.
It’s been three years since the BBA/BEGA incident happened. Official tournaments were held annually and the largest number they got before they were shut down once again was 300 kids. As the popularity of the sport decreased the famous Tyson (Takao), Max, Rei, Kai and Daichi faded away. They’re no longer known for being famous bladers and the world could not care less about the sport.
On the streets of Tokyo blading is a rare occurrence. The reason is, that the most popular tournaments are held in back allies and deserted buildings. These people are the ones who blade to be the best, not for fame. The little community gets together every two weeks to hold a tournament where rules are no object. They’re about the blading not the cameras or the fans. With them it’s all for one and one for all.
A small group of them are fighting to show that the game is just like any other sport, and should be played openly and shared with the world.
Who will you be?
Will you fight for the sport?
Will you battle to become the best in the dusty streets of Japan?
Or will you insist that the sport is a danger to the youth of your country?
And do you believe that the once champions, will return?
