Personality:

The horse is very untrustworthy around people, and that may be because she’s not very trustworthy towards herself. She’s quiet, and doesn’t speak much because of everything that has happened to her in the past. She gets ill a lot, and this makes her self-confidence even lower, even if she doesn’t show that she has very low-esteem to people around her by looking cold and stern, she is definitely depressed inside.

Three people she knows that she can trust would be Hiro, Shigure and of course her boyfriend Hatsuharu who has been through a lot because of her. She is weak inside, just like her frail body, and doesn’t want to be. She is strong-willed although she doesn’t seem to show it a lot. Her fear of hospital only shatters her self-esteem more than it did before, but now that she’s out of hospital she feels a lot better than before.

Slowly she’s starting to come out of the hard exterior she has created around her. Hopefully one day she’ll come to accept people like Tohru, who she’s had a hard start off with. She tries. She just finds it really hard. She’s also very creative, not that people would know.

When her parents couldn’t accept the fact she was cursed when she was younger, after being lead to believe that they loved her – then abandoning her, she fell short of being a happy child. She was sent to live with Kagura and her mother soon after, and that’s where she has grown up. After all of this there is no wonder as to why she keeps herself to herself.

She’s scared to opening herself up to people – and that would be one of the reasons why she eats alone, and the only person ever to see her eat would have been Hatsuharu. She also has a strong defence around her when she is annoyed. She and her other cousin Kyo don’t have a very good relationship either, they argue a lot too. But again, she is trying to open up and resolve this. Things aren’t really going that well though.

When Akito had attacked Isuzu for being in love with Hatsuharu and Akito blamed her for it, saying that she had lead him on and seduced him – she was pushed out of the window and the only witness was Hiro – so she has learned to put up with Hiro’s protectiveness, although she does appreciate that he cares for her.

Goal: Her goal is to one day be able to open up more and accept the things and people around her. She doesn’t want to be a cold girl anymore and she’s slowly starting to achieve it.

Appearance:

Isuzu is tall and slender, maybe too slender. She’s very much a woman in her bust and she seems to show that off a lot in the tops that she wears. She used to be confident too, to wear short skirts to show off her long legs.

Until a year ago, her hair used to be very long and snake-like, something Akito used to hate her about. So after she was locked up where the cat usually would have been kept, Akito cut off her long hair and now her hair seems to rest alongside her shoulders.

It has been like that since then because Hatsuharu said that he had liked it. Although she feels so different now, she’s learning to adapt to that. Her eyes are dark and because of that, they seem to give her a dark and cold exterior even when she doesn’t want to.

History:

She was born Sohma, Isuzu and was born under the sign of the horse. She was one of the cursed zodiac members which was something that didn’t make her parents very happy. Living a dream until she was around the age of seven, her parents would make her believe she was loved. Until one day she asked one simple question and her parents exploded. That was the day when her happy childhood was broken and she became cold and depressed.

Isuzu got ill a lot when she was little and often fainted from stomach ulcers and one day she was found by Hatsuharu after overdoing it playing with a skipping rope. He took her to Kazuma Sohma, and that was when she was taken to the hospital. When her mother appeared, she had received another acid tongue argument. Although to her surprise, Hatsuharu had stuck up for her.

She then moved in with her cousin Kagura and her mother where her life was a lot better than it was with her parents. Whilst growing up she became closer to Hatsuharu – to the point the two started a relationship that became sexual. When Akito had found out about this relationship she wasn’t in the best bit pleased.

Akito is the real thing that Isuzu fears, and that is because during their argument over Hatsuharu she was thrown out of a window and got extremely hurt. Once that had happened – and Hiro had seen her – she vowed to stay away from Hatsuharu simply so he would no longer get hurt because of her.

She also vowed to break the curse, and tried to even seduce Shigure into getting that. That didn’t go well and neither did Ren offering to help her.

After Akito had found out, Akito locked her in the room where the cat is usually held. It wasn’t long after that that Hiro had told Hatsuharu about what had happened to make Isuzu dump him and Hatsuharu turned into black Hatsuharu and he attacked Akito before taking Isuzu somewhere safe. Isuzu awoke in his arms and had found her hair to have been cut.

Isuzu Is now twenty years old, dating Hatsuharu properly for the first time in years and is studying art in college. Something that no one even knew she had a passion for. Now that the curse is broken, she is happier and can now live her life with Hatsuharu like she always wanted.

You have got to be kidding me. The black haired Sohma thought to herself as she sat down on her seat next to her table as she glanced once upon a painting she had been working on. Why was she coming here… again. the horse had just found out that Tohru Honda was coming to visit her.

Now Isuzu had tried to be nicer to everyone, it just so happened that it wasn’t going to plan because she wasn’t that prepared to let people in yet and sometimes it lead to her being mean without meaning it. And that was especially true about Tohru and her husband Kyo. Kyo was also someone she wasn’t that much of a friend with. It wasn’t her fault…

Tohru was just trying to be nice and caring… when Tohru found out about Isuzu’s passion for drawing and painting she was very supportive and Isuzu near enough threw it back in her face, it wasn’t nice of her but it was something she had done, she knew she had to learn to control her temper… she had been told that since a young age.

The only person she was calm with was Hatsuharu. Well Hatsuharu and Kagura to some extent because she grew up around Kagura and well… she wasn’t as calm as her appearance had made her out to be so growing up with Kagura’s mother didn’t make anything easier on the older woman. Isuzu sighed as she moved the paintbrush into her hand.

Making one touch up to her painting she looked out of the window to the bright day and decided she would try again. She might not get far, but try she would do… let’s just hope there will be no fists flying this day. Or the next. No promises made though.
