Tohru has never been a very graceful girl and her long legs seem to help in causing all sorts of chaos when she walks. Tohru had never considered herself a pretty girl though Kyo and Yuki find her to be a bell of the ball , and never fail to comment on her blushing cheeks when the situation call for it.
Tohru loves to dress up though spending money on herself is something she rarely does, most of her clothing is a bit old, worn and torn. Though Kyo scolds her for that and sometimes surprises her with new things every now and again knowing how much Tohru loves it even though she pretends like it shouldn’t have been such a big deal. Tohru can always be found with a smile on her face even if she isn’t happy, she always tries to keep her mood in good standing so that no one feels burdened to help or take on her problems.

In all actuality she had told no one of what had been going on at home, it seemed like things were going as planned until Tohru was discovered by the prince Yuki Sohma. Yuki had been her crush since she had known him, being caught like this seemed like a horrid blow to her embarrassment. With a few quick words and a fever to keep her down Tohru began the newest addition to the Sohma shine. Things seemed find until a wild young boy by the name of Kyo Sohma joined the ranks, confused by the conflict between the Tohru tried to make the best of it.
Life seemed like it couldn’t have gotten any better or worse until she discovered the secret held deep within the Sohma family, it seemed that they had been cursed and if touched by the opposite sex transformed into one of the 13 Chinese zodiac characters. Confused and fully accepting Tohru began to learn the dark secrets that seemed to lurk about the Sohma family. One by one Tohru begins to meet the odd but loveable characters who make up the cursed Sohma family, even meeting the head Akito who unknown to Tohru herself wishes for her to fail at helping the family to break the curse.
Months pass as Tohru settled her way into the hearts of every Sohma and by the time Tohru knew it she had fallen in love with one of them, though she never spoke it Kyo had always held a spot in her heart, though she knew he thought I was only because she pitted him being left out. By the end of her senior year Tohru herself had become like part of the family trying her best to help solve the curse.
Tohru's feelings for Kyo develop and she eventually admits he is the Sohma she wants the most to free, because she loves him. This, however, only distresses her further, as she feels she is being unfaithful to her mother's memory ,However, when Tohru finally confesses to Kyo, he tells her he knew her mother when he was a child, and that he could have saved Kyoko from the car that killed her except it would have revealed his curse. Unable in his guilt to accept Tohru's feelings, he says her love is an illusion and runs away. As she follows him, she meets Akito, who believes that Tohru's kindness to and acceptance of the cursed zodiac members has made them unfaithful to her, weakening their "bond" to the point that Momiji and Hiro have been freed from the curse. As she angrily confronts her, however, Tohru realizes that she is trapped by the past as much as she herself has been, by clinging to her mother's memory, and she extends her hand in friendship to Akito and introduces herself as a new start. However, before Akito can accept, Tohru falls down a nearby cliff when the ground collapses in the rain.
Tohru survives the fall and is hospitalized. As she recovers, Akito accepts Tohru's friendship, and comes to accept both the person she is, instead of the god she has believed her father wished her to be, and the woman she was born as, instead of the man she was raised to be. Meanwhile Yuki, who has realized that what he wants from Tohru is an unconditional "motherly" love, not the love of a woman, convinces Kyo to reconcile with Tohru, and when she is discharged from the hospital, Kyo confesses his feelings for her. [This acceptance of the cat, the first friend of the god of the zodiac, breaks zodiac curse and all the Sohmas are freed.
Tohru having become engaged to Kyo helps him to fulfill his dream to one day run the dojo, they leave together and the wedding being held shortly after. While Kyo spends his time at the dojo Tohru hasn’t forgotten her own dream and begins college that following year.

Warm days like this were a feat to behold going to bed in the warmth of the covers only to wake to warm rays of sunlight bursting through the room. With the lack of morning sickness the day seemed to be going quite smoothing for Mimiko, breakfast has stayed down even the house had managed to stay Mimiko disaster free. There was nothing to clean nothing to shop for everything seemed to be in order, something that rarely happened for her. in the past few months she had been working quite hard to become less scatter brained and more level headed she wanted to be the best mother she could be. She had actually finished the baby’s room before hand it didn’t matter that she was only two months, having everything read was a great feat Mimiko had accomplished. Deciding that a day out without shopping or chores was something she deserved, with a quick shower and a change of clothing Mimiko was up and out the door.
The streets seemed busy today then again Mimiko couldn’t think of a time when they weren’t covered in people, the idea of being stuck in a crowd all day with pushing and shoving didn’t sound as appealing to her as it would to anyone else.
