Shane sighed slightly as he saw the groups expressions. Maybe it was he that seemed to kill the mood, but wasn't that what always seemed to happen? He was the one who people were scared to speak to, he was the one that intimidated others, but he never wanted this at all, not one bit of it.
If he could ask for something, it would pprobably to be accepted more, and not to be revered. He wondered though what in the world was so wrong to him. He was practically raised to listen to the Hachimata, but that was only because he was raised to listen, to obey, and because he was born with a gift and talent, but he always seemed to wonder. Should he be punished for something like this? It allseemed so unfair, but maybe that was a reason that he was always lonely, and he always seemed to stare at others with such sad and lonely eyes.
He stared slightly at everyones faces. It seemed to be impossible, every last bit of it, and in a way, it really seemed to piss him off a bit, though he couldn't blame them for hating him, he probably looked like some sort of stuck up snob or some favorite of the Hachimata's. He just wanted this all to end, so he stared at them through his light silver eyes, blinking slightly when the girl Ravenna Sohma had appeared and out of nowhere, Satomi had run off.
This instantly told him something, especially from a reaction like that. There was no doubt in his mind that something had to have happened. He bit his bottom lip in thought. "Alright," he responded as he watched Zane take off after Satomi. Shane had no intention whatsoever with trying to force the other members of the family to do things, so technically he wasn't the criminal behind this, right? Well, it all seemed to not matter anymore, so it seemed to be a bit pointless. He sighed now, he truly did wonder if they were going to come back.
Ravenna seem cool enough as she had approached the group. She knew a lot of things actually, and of course was never one to judge at first thought. She sighed as she let her eyes close for a moment. What seemed to bother her the most though was how she seemed to feel a slight tension in the group. She seemed to wonder what exactly was up.
She let herself smile when Zane had introduced himself to her. "Nice to meet you, but I happened to have met him in the park one day," she said with a slight nod after a moment. She always would remember that day. It was definately different and she had witnessed something that no ordinary human would believe. She sighed after a moment. "So yeah," she finished.
She caught a glimpse of Satomi dash off and let her eyes close for a moment. idiot she thought to herself as she let her eyes open again. Was he honestly afraid of her or something? She wasn't sure, but didn't follow that way, she decided to take off in another direction. She stood there holding her stuffed rabbit. She took off now towards the entrance, the only unblocked exit. She would stop him if it were only to appease his family and she knew exactly what she would do.
She now sucked in a breath as she took up a place to hide, ready if he decided to run by. She was quick of course, and would make sure he went back to his "group" after all, it all seemed alright as it was without her there, so that certainly had to mean it was all her fault, so she simply blamed herself. |

Zane shrunk back slightly when Satomi spoke to him harshly. He bit his lip, looking confused. "Panicking...well, too much panicking can be a bad thing you know." He said simply. "You should try to calm down...try counting to ten..or go to your 'happy place." he smiled. "I have a happy place...there's catnip and yarn...and fishes galore. Some birds and mice too...but I like fish the most..." he said, trying to get Satomi's mind off of the flame-haired girl.
Zane sighed, hesitating for a brief second before he reached out his hand and placed it on Satomi's shoulder before he could run off. "Wait, Satomi-san...don't go...you'll only make things worse if you simply ignore the issue...I understand what makes you, you...kinda...there's not a lot I understand really...but stay...please? I'll even try to learn how to not run away from you...though, it'll be hard...the cat in me simply wants to run away from you and climb a tree." He sighed. "This curse is not only a curse...but it can also be a blessing you know..."
"I feel so...not-cat-like right now..." he commented, smiling lightly. "I guess my gentle nature can over-rule my cat-like nature..." he mused softly. |

"Calm down?"Satomi said slowly. "I'll try..." Satomi said as he counted to ten in his head. "It didn't work." Satomi thought. "Happy place?" Satomi thought. "I don't have a happy place do I?" Satomi's thoughts had flickered over to thoughts of the crimson-haired girl. His happy place was with her. Laughing, joking, smiling. He didn't really even know the girl yet he felt strong emotions for her. As Satomi as walking away he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around it was Zane's hand. "What can I do?" Satomi said his face going white. "I can't be around her. Yet she is everywhere." Satomi told Zane. "I'll just end up transforming again like in the park. I just have to stay away from her." Satomi said while his heart ached. "I don't even understand why I have a crush on her. I shouldn't I don't even know her, yet I feel so strongly about her. Why is that? Why her? Why not any of the other girls? That girl hasn't been around for that long. The other girls were at least there for a day or two and I didn't feel that way....couldn't....." Satomi trailed off. "Help me. tell me what to do." Satomi told Zane with serious eyes.

Ravenna sighed slightly. She always got annoyed with waiting for things to happen. It's like waiting for a miracle to happen, though that was always impossible. Sometimes she wondered if there was ever a such thing as a miracle, if everything really was truthful with things said.
She sighed slightly, blinking when she saw a booth for some fresh baked peperoni bread. Of course the smell was enoguh to make your mouth water, the smell of the delicious sour dough baking slowly yet surely and the smell of pepperoni's cooking wafted to her nose as she sat there now waiting and wondering if he would even come this way.
She decided after a moment to go buy one then sit there and eat it while she was waiting. She walked over casually and had ordered one at the booth and smirked slightly when she came back with one. She took a bite out of it looking quite cute and she sat there again against a tree and a little out of site just waiting her crimson eyes searching around slightly at the scene.

"I...don't know what you can do..." Zane murmured softly. "I just don't know...I have absolutely no idea what I'm trying to say..." he sighed, his hand falling away from Satomi's shoulder. "I know I don't like you that much...just because the cat in me doesn't like your dog....but I don't want to see you hurt like you are now." He looked up at Satomi and forced a smile, though the close proximity to the Dog was now getting hard to bear. "She knows about you now...and doesn't suspect that you have a crush on her...but instead, me...which is odd because we're cousins...but maybe you should try to stay around her, but not in public places and I'll always be near-by so she'll keep thinking you transform because of me..I don't know..it might work..." |

"I kinda figured you didn't like me." Satomi said smiling."Yea maybe." Satomi said as he thought over Zane's plan. "But maybe I should just tell her. She almost found out in the park and do you really want her to think that we are gay?" Satomi asked Zane as a frown formed on his face. "It will be hard to do that too. I mean you can't even stand to be near me and everytime that I change back she will see me....." Satomi said not finishing his sentence. It was just to embarrassing.

"Well, there's two reasons why I really don't like you...one you're the five-tailed Dog and two you kinda creep me out most of the time." Zane said, smiling softly. "And it really doesn't bother me that much...as long as we aren't, which I'm not sure about you, but I'm not gay." he said evenly. "And I know I can't stand being near you...but I can try...I may act like a cat, but I'm not a cat...I'm human...I just have to fight the urge to run away from you, like I am now..." He sighed. "And yeah, that could pose a problem..we'll figure something out...hopefully..." |

She sighed as she let her finger trace a pattern in the soil of the schools flower bed. She wondered what was going on, but then decided to give up and go after the two of them herself. She was tired of playing wait around and decided she would be the one to find them, and force them back together. She still thought that Zane and Satomi were each others boyfriends, so she stuck by that thought, and was sure now that she would make sure that the two weren't fighting right now.
"Here I go," she seemed to breathe out now as she let her gaze move around the crowd of people at the festival. She was sure that she would find them now, no matter wht, she promised to find them. |

"What do we do now go back?" Satomi asked Zane. "The others are probably worried. Well Shane's not, but still. Satomi said as he wondered if Ravenna was going to be there. "Maybe you should go back and I should go home. It will be easier that way and I won't transform so thats good." Satomi said as he walked around Zane. "This place is kind of getting boring anyways." Satomi said making up an excuse so it seemed like he didn't have a reason to stay. "Well I guess I'll see you later then. Bye." Satomi said as he walked back to where he ran from. Then he saw her. Ravenna. She was looking around the park like she was looking for someone. Satomi was hoping she wasn't looking for him. He tried to blend into the crowd knowing it wouldn't work. She would spot him instantly. Still you had to try right?

Festivals were suppose to cheer you up right? Though they were married it seemed Kyo had become busy to just spend a little time with her, he and the dojo seemed to see each other more then he and Tohru. She couldn’t help but feel a little jealous and sad, though she would never say or act like anything was wrong Tohru wished he would have taken the day off for the festival. She had talked none stop about it for days, weeks even and yet as she slipped on the kimono yuki had sent her just for the festival Kyo had put on his sensi robes and waved her farewell. With a feeling of abandonment Tohru forced herself to slap a smile on her face and walk out the door alone as she headed to the festival location.
Soon Tohru found herself at the entrance of the festival, a lovely site of happy couples and families. She watched as a few groups of kids ran around chasing each other with fake swords and masks upon their faces. She couldn’t stop herself as a smile was brought to her face the happiness the people around her had seemed almost contagious. Starting forward she wondered what the first thing to do would be, maybe a game for a fish or a stuffed anime or maybe tasting some of the food they were serving ? to many things and so little time then again she planned on staying till night fall to enjoy the glow of the lights and the fireworks that were sure to come. Till then she had to find something to occupy her time with, food it was! Her body declared as a slight gurgle began slowly began to loudon just enough for Tohru to blush in her embarrassment.

Zane sighed and closed his eyes slightly before nodding briefly. "Alright...maybe you should go home then...we can't have you transforming amongst all these people..." he murmured. "I suppose I could deal with Ravenna if she asks where you are...I'll lie or something..." he was going to say something else, but Satomi had already left. A sigh escaped his lips as he watched Satomi walk off. "Get home safely." he mumbled softly. Zane turned around to start heading back to where everybody else was...
Well, he would have done that...was he suddenly not distracted by a cat darting through the crowd of people with a gold fish from the fishing game in his mouth. "Kitty!" Zane squeaked, running after it. "Come here kitty-chan!" he said, quite loudly with a smile now planted on his face. "Kitty kitty kitty..." he said, almost like a little child. Well, he seemed to be quite excited about a cat...
"Here kitty-chan!" Zane called, bounding passed Tohru. He stopped a few meters passed her before going down to his knees and reaching a hand out for the cat. "Here kitty-chan...here kitty...I won't take your fish away..." he grinned suddenly snatching the cat up and hugging it close to him, but not too tightly. Doing that to a cat would most likely get you scratched and/or bitten, but when it came to Zane...nope. He simply stroked the cat happily. "Gotcha, kitty-chan!"

[img src=" "] She let her eyes close slightly as she took the time to blink for at least a second. It was something that she had to do right now, and she of course decided to do that and such. She had to be the one feeling guily. Was it not her fault that Satomi had run away? What was with that kid though? She had to wonder just a little as she stared around, her crimson orbs searching the area until there he was. She paused slightly as she seemed to try and think out what she wanted to do next. She took a few breaths, then ran after her, grabbing his wrist successfully. “Baka,” she murmured. “Why did you run away like that?” she asked.
She may have been a bit shorter than Satomi and that came to the conclusion that small things aren’t always sweet. Ravenna really had the urge to slap the boy but refused that urge. It bothered her though when she had to speak to him and he seemed to be ignoring her somewhat. Well, that was at least how it appeared to her. She wondered though now if she really was a boring person to talk to.
She felt bad now as she stared ahead of her at Satomi. “Look. . . I’m sorry if you’re afraid of me or something like that. You have the right to be. Go ahead and be afraid of me like everyone else, go join the club,” she released Satomi’s wrist now, feeling like crying. She knew that others feared her, and for the most part it was because she had a really bad temper. She bit her bottom lip. She could never help it, so it always came out and made things worse and worse for her. She turned slightly as she stared at the ground. “I am sorry,” she breathed.

With her hands full of sticks on which delicious treats were suck Tohru found herself slowly walking back among the crowd of people who had gathered for the festival. There was nothing more special then a festival on a pretty day to bring hundreds of happy people together, the sky had become a bright blue and she could barely see any clouds in the sky. A nice breeze had begun to pass around them and the air held a pleasantly heated temperature, what more could anyone ask for? Finishing off the sticks of treats Tohru patted her now full and happy stomach , nothing like a good meal to keep her energy up!
Her eyes caught something moving through the crowd and it was just like Tohru to easy tell it was a cat, her eyes lit up in excitement before a gasp escaped her lips. The poor thing had stolen a helpless goldfish and she knew it was only looking for a spot to eat the flopping and helpless fish. Starting after it she was suprised to hear another voice yell out “kitty…. Come here kitty chan !” she didn’t have to move far as the kitty and the boy darted past her, Tohru was releaved when the boy had caught the kitty, he seemed happy about it and the cat gave up with out much of a fight. Rushing forward she stuck her hand out infront of the cat with a serious look on her face “spit it out right this instant you wouldn’t want to be eaten now would you” the cat seemed to give Tohru a rather questioning look before letting the fish drop into her hand, with out a moments notice Tohru had rushed back to the fish tank only to let the fish plop back into its tank.
Slapping her hands together Tohru watched the little fish as he at first seemed to struggle only to hurry his little tail in movement to hid himself. “ you can only imagine the story he has to tell his friends now, a great adventure about how a kitty almost had him for dinner” she giggled to the fish booth owner who only looked at her bit puzzled before a chuckle escaped his mouth.

Actually...Zane wasn't all that happy about Tohru going and taking the fish from the cat...it was mean! Fish were stupid anyway! They tasted good...but they were simply so very stupid! Honestly...if fish were smarter it wouldn't have been caught in the first place. A hiss escaped his lips as he glared at Tohru.
"What did you do that for!" he demanded, eyes narrowed slightly as he hugged the cat close to his chest. "You know...what if this cat had a bunch of kittens to feed?" he demanded. "If they were to die, it would be your fault for taking the fish away!" he hissed. "It's not a cat's fault that they eat fish, and mice...and rats..." he said. "And birds." he added, though he would NEVER dream of eating a bird...they reminded him too much of Tsubaki.
Zane glared coldly at Tohru as he stroked the cats head and cooed softly into it's ear. "Don't worry, little kitty-chan...I'll buy you a goldfish at the petstore if you want one...and catnip too." he informed the cat. |

Satomi gasped as someone grabbed onto his wrist. He instantly tried to flung it off. It was a normal thing to do, but then he noticed it was Ravenna. "How did she find me?" Satomi thought as he looked down at Ravenna. She looked angry. Very angry. "I-I'm sorry..." Satomi said as his heart started to beat fast in his chest. "Keep it together Satomi. Don't transform..." Satomi said quietly to himself as he tried to control his emotions. It was sorta working, but for how long? "I didn't mean to run away. I couldn't help it..." Satomi said as he looked down at the ground. It was the truth. He couldn't help, but run away. If he didn't people would know his secret. Plus Zane wasn't there so it would ruin the whole plan and Ravenna would know how he really felt about her. Ravenna let go of his wrist. He wished that she wouldn't a tiny bit. "You shouldn't be sorry and I'm not afraid of you. I will never be afraid of you so don't say sorry." Satomi said a serious tone in his voice. He was really being honest. 100% in fact. He really didn't want to run from her, but he had to. It would be a risk to the family.
